Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

How much rain did Cyprus have last night?

Was it me or did it just not want to stop at all from the early evening?

It sounded like someone was hammering on the roof of our bungalow and some excellent lightning.

So this morning I found a discussion about whether the dams may overflow before the end of the year.

What do you think? This below is as of Friday 9th November:

You can check it again on Monday via the Water Development Department’s Reservoir Storage link:

Just loving the colours of the sky here

Well yes, it was a nice day today although we can now see some very black clouds and a strong possibility of some thunder, lightning and probably a bit of rain too…

The light was really starting to change towards the end of our visit at Curium beach and I’m really liking the colours of the sky in these first 2 photographs.

The sky above Curium today – fantastic

What a difference a day makes!

Who would have thought it?

Same beach, different day – almost in the same spot as we were yesterday at Curium Beach below the ancient Roman ruins of the city of Kourion and its’ ampitheatre.

This is how it looked today:

Compare it with yesterday:

Same beach, different day.

And this was in Ayia Napa at the Eastern end of the island, just a few hours earlier on Saturday 6 October:

This image isn’t mine – it was on facebook somewhere so Thank You to whoever it was who posted it. Wish I’d been there!

Scary, eh?

I love October weather, you never know what’s just around the corner…..
