Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

Memories of Larnaca…

Thinking back to a holiday long ago of 3 weeks in Larnaca, not too far from what was the roundabout close to the port and before the Police station in a 1 bedroom apartment one winter – it was wonderful!

It gave my (then) boyfriend a taste of what I had experienced of the friendliness and culture of Cyprus and its’ people some 7 years previous during another winter holiday in Limassol.

We loved it so much, we came to live here permanently some 11 years further down the line.

Maybe this video will give you an indication of what it was we fell in love with:

Okay, at the moment we’re living in Limassol because that’s where my job is based. It’s also in a central position between either airport so handy for us and our visitors. But, if we had our way and did not need to work we would consider moving more towards the eastern end of Cyprus.

P.S. My (then) boyfriend is now my husband. We got married in Paphos 9 years after our holiday in Larnaca 🙂
