Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

Looks like this could be quite fabulous and you could not want for a better location.

A permanent exhibition to present both an historical and contemporary perspective to the Bandabulya marketplace is being prepared and will be inaugurated soon!

And of course, you cannot fault good old YouTube for leading you on to something else of interest 🙂

I just found a video of one of my most favourite places in the north side of Nicosia! It’s a place we always pop in to have a look around and take photographs when we go through the crossing point at Ledra Street.

Buyuk Han or the Great Inn is an Ottoman building and was originally a traveller’s inn. It’s now a hive of activity for small craft shops, book shops and a couple of cafes. It makes for a very pleasant stop off during a day out behind the green line. The video below was posted on YouTube by: tangojd

Take a look at some of my photos of the Great Inn from one of our many visits.
