We went up to Kouris Dam, Ypsonas today in the hope it would be overflowing but sadly, it was not to be. “Close, but no cigar” as they say…

Hmmm, so then curiosity got the better of me – much to my husband’s disgust. How do we get down there to get some more photographs? We can see the road so now all we have to do is find it.
We found some kind of a rough road that looked like it was heading in the general direction. Well it was pointing downhill anyway and off we shot off the road to the right and over all sorts of terrain until we hit the bottom, ending up on the road you can see to the right of the building and above where the water is whooshing out.
By rights the dam should be overflowing already so we have our suspicions that the “overflow” is being held back or “stage managed” to finally roll over the top in time for the forthcoming EOKA (1st April) public holiday weekend.
Call me cynical if you will, but it’s something that definitely comes with age 🙂
