Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

Finally, I got the picture….

We’re around 3 weeks away from being resident in Cyprus for 8 years and in that time on our drives up to Mount Olympus via the Kantou / Omodos route, we keep passing a painted water tank that’s always intrigued me.

The water tank is situated on the right hand side of the road near a very tight left hand turn just below the village of Mandria.

Every time we go up that route, I promise myself I will get a photo but always – I forget the exact location and we almost always go back home via the Troodos road instead of coming back the way we came.

But yesterday, I finally got the picture! We came back the same way we went up and I made Clem stamp on the brakes while I jumped out and captured the water tank on camera đŸ™‚

Only took me 8 years - but here is the water tank!

I would love to know the story behind this water tank. Whose is it and who did the painting?

So now I want to know whose is it and what was the painting of it all about?
