Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

The rig has been moving around the Limassol bay area for the last week or so but on Wednesday 4th January, the sea was so flat and calm I managed to capture some really cool shots while I was down at the Apollonia Hotel.

My friend Jean has been here for the last week from the UK and was waiting for her departure coach. There were a couple of unsettled days so it wasn’t so easy to get good photos but Wednesday was quite gorgeous. I think you can probably tell that from the photos 😀

The ship being used to transport the rig is the Black Marlin and is a Netherlands registered ship. More info on the ship and her latest position can be found on Marine Traffic website.
