Well, it’s that time of year again and the Limassol Wine Festival is almost upon us….
I find it really hard to believe that we’ve been living in Limassol, Cyprus since March 2004 and have still not visited this significant event 😦
Why? You may well ask!
The basic answer is that I’m not a great connoisseur or even a fan of wine – unless it’s white and very well chilled. I’m a heathen when it comes to red wine – I keep the bottle in the fridge and much prefer it mixed with soda or lemonade.
But I hear that the wine festival is not purely all about the bottled stuff…. Apparently, there’s some good entertainment to be had and lots of chances to taste the local cuisine.
All the roundabouts along the highway appear to have “grown” some very large wine barrels over the past week and we’re expecting some fab displays.
So, as it seems to be a 50 year anniversary maybe it’s time to push the boat out and take a trip down to the Municipal Gardens on the seafront this weekend.
