Okay, so the mind may have just boggled a little at the headline 😀
It got sooooo damned hot in the living room this afternoon when I was busy at the pc we decided we just had to down tools and head off to the beach!
A quick change and out of the door we went promising our faithful four footed friends that we wouldn’t be too long…. In the back of the double cab went the boogie boards, the padded mattresses from our sun-loungers, our beach bag with towels, sunglasses, Mr Kindle and a large bottle of water!
We went to our favourite spot at the first part of Curium Beach by the pebble beach before you reach the first beach tavernas. Down went the mattresses, off came the clothes and into the sea we went.
It was surprisingly warm and although it was breezy, the waves were quite manageable which meant they didn’t try to rip my bikini bottoms off today 😉
That’s the problem with living in the hot and sunny paradise that is Cyprus….. Elastic doesn’t seem to keep it’s erm “elasticity” for very long. Knickers, socks or any item of clothing with Lycra in the makeup of it very soon perishes.
At first you get the impression you’ve lost a bit of weight but then, the reality sinks in. The damned sun has been at it again!
So beware, when visiting the beach remember to keep one hand on your drawers!
And while we’re on the subject of the beach. Just why does the sea have to be so salty?
