Video footage shows distressing images of cruelty to pigs at Cheale Meats Ltd, Elmkirk slaughterhouse (UK).
We’ve just seen this (actually, I wouldn’t watch it as I love pigs) on Sky News and are both stunned to hear the people who are quite clearly shown in the video footage cannot be prosecuted by DEFRA due to it being obtained by campaigners who were trespassing on the premises.
All I can say is “shoot the bastards, hunt them down and make their lives a living hell”
The video shows them burning with cigarettes, punching the pigs in the face and hitting them in the face with cricket bats.
Isn’t it enough the pigs were there to be slaughtered in the first place?
What a sick world we live in. I’m just so upset after this, it’s totally senseless.
The UK should take action against this company immediately and boycott any meat from Cheale Meats Abbatoir. If they want to continue to allow this activity to take place and turn their backs against it – let them continue and face the consequences of having no business left to run!
The Food Standards Agency says it has revoked the licence of one slaughterman in the footage and increased the level of monitoring at the plant.
