Fylde Coast Musings vs Cyprus Life – in pictures

Originally from a small mill town in Heywood, Lancashire (United Kingdom) we moved overseas at the beginning of March 2004 and spent the next glorious 12 years in Limassol, Cyprus. Sadly, in 2016 we had to return permanently to UK due to family ill health. We now live on the Fylde coast where the river Wyre meets the Irish sea just across from Fleetwood. More places to discover and capture on camera!

Nice weather – NOT today!

Sooooo, who sent that damn awful sandstorm in with the thunder, lightning and heavy rain we had in the night and early this morning?

My car looked like it was covered in red concrete! It’s the worst Cyprus sand storm we’ve seen after the rain since we arrived in 2004.

Hubby hosed it off for me before I left for the office and as I was going over the high levels on the highway there was a bit more rain. Not much – just enough to have the wipers on intermittent for about half a dozen swipes of the windscreen.

The car was full of the stuff when I parked up and when I came out again a little after 2pm – it was covered with red concrete like sand all over again!

Good job I had water in the screen wash canister – a rare occurrence!

So go on. Own up. Who did it?

If you have any photos – feel free to send them to me. I’ll be happy to post a few on this thread.
